MANHATTAN – It was rainbow warfare on East 47th Street in celebration of Holi, India’s festival of colors. Aromatic spices filled the air and dancers twirled across the stage, as partygoers smeared colored powder in a sign of spring – and of New York’s growing South Asian community.
